Dr. Dominique Backus

Originally from New Roads, Louisiana, Dr. DB brings compassion, warmth, and a genuine love for helping others to every patient experience. Her very first job was at the Pointe Coupee Parish Library, where she organized VHS tapes for patient check-out — a fun throwback that still makes her smile today. Outside the office, her perfect weekend includes relaxing with an ocean view and spending time with her beautiful family. She is a proud mom to four children — Jackson, Connelly, Holland, and Miller — along with three cats and two dogs who keep life busy and full of love. When it comes to comfort food, sushi is always her go-to, and her favorite movie of all time is 16 Candles. What Dr. Backus loves most about orthodontics is the opportunity to truly change lives — not only by creating beautiful smiles, but by seeing the confidence and happiness that grow throughout each patient’s smile journey.
